T-Rex Cricket Maker has been designed to enhance the palatability of a wide range of dietary resources including Snake Steak Sausage, Gecko Grub and Monitor Munch. Cricket Maker is derived from both volatile and non-volatile Field Cricket scent components that have been demonstrated to be the most effective prey attractants for obligate insectivorous and omnivorous reptiles. These include: Smooth and Rough Green Snakes; the majority of Lizards species including Bearded Dragons, Geckos and Green Iguanas; Turtles including Box Turtles and Tortoises. Simply apply one or more drops of T-Rex Cricket Maker to the food item being fed and offer it immediately to your reptile. Scenting the whole food item has shown to help in attracting the reptile to feed. Cricket Maker is especially useful in encouraging a feeding response with reluctant feeders as it is based on a species of Field Cricket (Grillus Bimaculatus) unavailable to U.S. reptile breeders and will therefore be both novel and interesting to a reptile that has never been offered this species. Some obligate insectivorous may require the food object to be moved, as if it was alive, to encourage a feeding response. This can be best done at the end of a long feeding stick or plastic forceps. T-Rex Cricket Maker can also be used to scent dried foods which may not be freely accepted by your reptile. This works particularly well with juvenile Green Iguanas, which should never be given animal or insect protein, even though they love it. By scenting their food with Cricket Maker, they think that they are eating crickets instead of the herbivorous materials actually being offered. Some calcium products although essential for your insectivorous reptile may not be very palatable. Cricket Maker can usefully be used to increase the palatability of these products to ensure that your reptile consumes sufficient calcium to insure it's long-term health.
